Psychiatric Evaluation

Psychiatric evaluation is a type of medical assessment that focuses on assessing and diagnosing psychiatric symptoms. These symptoms can include both moods and feelings, like sadness, anger, agitation, and anxiety, and physical symptoms such as sleep and appetite disturbances, elevated heart rates, and energy dysregulation.

These assessments are important in order to arrive at an accurate psychiatric diagnosis, so that people can receive the proper medication and treatment.

At Capital Therapy, these assessments are performed only by licensed and board-certified psychiatrists, and by psychiatric Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners under the on-site supervision of a board-certified psychiatrist.
